Sankayou
Koichi Kuriyama release his first single on the Finland-based modern classical label Nordic Euphony Records.
Nordic Euphony Records was founded by world-renowned Finnish pianist and composer A. Blomqvist in cooperation with Sony Music Finland, and has released works by outstanding composers from around the world.
Kuriyama's first release on this label, “Sankayou”, as the name implies, comes from a Japanese flower whose petals become transparent when in contact with water.
The single was mixed by Daisuke Koizumi, a recording and mixing engineer and owner of music studio SIMPO based in Kyoto, who has been producing unique works in the Kyoto independent scene. And it was mastered by Martyn Heyne at Lichte Studio in Berlin, who has worked with artists such as Nils Frahm, a pioneer in the modern classical scene.
