“Falling Into Place” was composed for the end credits of the film “Suton”, directed by Rikako Watanabe. The film follows a woman who leaves her acting career behind in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. As she adjusts to a new environment, sees her parents grow older, and finds support in an old friend, she experiences moments when things gradually fall into place.
In the original version, the delicate sound of felt piano is layered with synthesizers and electronic textures, creating a soundscape that lingers beyond the film.
Alongside “Falling Into Place (From the Original Motion Picture “Suton”)”, the release includes “Before It Falls”, a rework of the original piece, and “Falling Into Place (Piano Version)”, which brings the felt piano to the forefront. Together, the three tracks offer different expressions of the music created for the film.
